The adventure begins June 21st. We'll be paddling and portaging 3200 km from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, to Thunder Bay, Ontario. Two solid months of canoeing lakes, rivers and creeks, upstream and downstream, following the route the Voyageurs took to cross the country.
We're deep into our planning and hope to be posting here more often as the trip approaches. Once we're paddling, we'll be calling friends and family to update the website and blog on our behalf. We will also use our SPOT device to have a map page updated weekly with our location. We hope you enjoy following our adventures!

I just want to say that I know both these young women, one a little better than the other and that they are very excited about this adventure. Their love for the outdoors and this beautiful country of ours will give them all the inspiration to carry this journey through. John and I are both looking forward to being able to help with posting their stories and keeping friends and family updated on this amazing journey.

Hey girls. I'm happy to see both of you tackle an expedition this large! I know it won't be easy. I wish you all the strength and courage you need to overcome any obstacles in your way. When the bugs get tough, or the current's comming the other way keep on keepin' on! Enjoy the journey and I can't wait to hear all about it once you get to Ontario!
